Description

The Holmes is a house dating from the 16th century, with 18th-century elevations. It features a timber frame with painted brick elevations. The building has moulded eaves and a bracketed gutter, topped by a steeply pitched plain tiled roof that is hipped to the right, with a stack on the right side. The house is two storeys high and has a three-window front, with 19th-century casements. The ground-floor windows are set under cambered heads. There are two half-glazed and panelled doors; one is located at the extreme left, and the other is to the right of the left-hand window. At the rear, there is a catslide outshut.
