Description
The water tower and the adjacent range to the northwest, located about 50 metres east of the Cannon Brewery buildings, date from the mid-19th century. They are constructed of stock brick with a slate roof. The water tower stands three storeys high, featuring a cast iron tank that projects from the top, supported by iron brackets and brick corbelling. Each floor has boarded doors, with a hoist and pulley above the top door, and segmental openings to the right on each floor fitted with iron grills. The range to the northwest is two storeys tall and has irregular fenestration, a boarded door on the first floor, and 20th-century vehicle doors on the ground floor. There is also the shell of a similar range to the southeast, which is gutted and heavily rebuilt, currently used as garage premises. This structure was originally part of the Cannon Brewery complex, with the main range and oasts still standing 50 metres to the west. The buildings are included for their group value.
