Description
This is a terrace of four houses on the north-east side of High Street, Ramsgate. The buildings date from the early 18th century and were altered in the mid-19th century, with restoration occurring in the late 20th century. The houses are constructed of brown brick, although numbers 133 and 135 have a rendered front elevation. They have a plain tiled roof with moulded wooden eaves, Dutch-shaped gables, four flat-roofed dormers, and four rear chimney stacks arranged from left to right. Numbers 133 and 135 are distinguished by rusticated quoins. Each house features two segmentally headed glazing bar sash windows with cornice block keystones on both floors. The windows have moulded surrounds on brackets to numbers 133 and 135, and have been reconstructed on the ground floors of numbers 129 and 131. The houses have doors consisting of six raised and fielded panels, located to the left of each house, except for number 129 which has its door on the right. Numbers 129 and 131 have moulded surrounds to their doors, while numbers 133 and 135 have pilasters and cornices. There is a 20th-century railed forecourt with plaques on the first floor marking land boundaries.
