Description
Court Mount Country Club is an L-shaped building located on Canterbury Road in Birchington-on-Sea. The front part of the building dates from the late 18th century to the early 19th century, while the rear wing is timber-framed. The front elevation features two storeys, combining brown and red brick, with a tiled roof, eaves cornice, and a stringcourse. There are four sash windows with cambered heads, three of which are three-light windows. The entrance has a doorcase with pilasters and a projecting cornice, leading to a six-panelled door, where the top two panels are cut away and glazed. Two stone ball finials are set on brick piers at the front. The right side extension is also two storeys tall and constructed of red brick, but it no longer has a bay window. Inside the rear wing, there is a ceiling with beams dating from the 16th to 17th century and an inglenook fireplace.
