Description

The Horse Trough is a horse and dog trough located in The Square, Birchington. It dates from the late 19th century or the first decade of the 20th century. The structure is made of stone and consists of four pieces, featuring a rectangular horse trough with a chamfered base that is supported by end rectangular piers, with a dog trough positioned underneath. A metal plate remains on one side of the trough.
