Description

A pair of terrace houses, dating to around 1818, situated on the west side of Waterloo in Ramsgate. The houses are constructed of stock brick and extend over three storeys and a basement, topped with a parapet and chimney stacks centrally and to the right. Each house has two glazing bar sash windows on the second floor, and two to the left on the first floor. Below, a canted bay window features glazing bar sashes. A two-storey canted bay window is located on the right-hand side, also with glazing bar sashes. The left-hand side has half-glazed doors set within keyed, semi-circular surrounds. Simple iron rails are present at the steps to the left, while the remaining area is enclosed by wooden fencing. The houses appear on Collard and Hurst’s map of 1822.
