Description
No. 53 is a terrace house located on The Plains of Waterloo in Ramsgate, built in the 1820s. The house is constructed of stock brick, with some areas painted. It stands three storeys tall with a basement and features a parapet and a stack on the right side. There are two sash windows on both the second and first floors, while the ground floor has a canted bay with sash windows set in moulded architraves. A casement window is present in the basement. To the left, there is a half-glazed door framed by a keyed gauged semi-circular surround. Access to the entrance is via a flight of four steps, with the left hand rail made of iron and the rest of the railings being wooden replacements. This building is included for its group value.
