Description

Isle of Thanet District Hospital (Margate Wing) was built in 1926 and designed by architect Charles Holden. The building features a central portion flanked by two wings set at right angles. It is constructed of yellow brick with brown brick dressings and has two storeys with attics. The roof is a tiled mansard style, adorned with 27 dormers, some of which are pedimented. The facade includes 32 sash windows with keystones and simple doorcases that have moulded surrounds.
