Description

This is a house, comprising numbers 136A and 136B, built around 1825 in Ramsgate. The construction is of stock brick with a slate roof. The building is two storeys high, featuring a cornice and parapet to a hipped roof, with stacks styled as entablature blocks with cornices positioned to the left, centre right, and right. A French window is located on the left side, accompanied by a balcony displaying a palmette pattern. The first floor has three double-hung sashes with balconettes, while the ground floor has four sashes. A round-headed niche is centrally positioned to the left, potentially originally an entrance. The left return features two shuttered French windows on the first floor, supported by a tented verandah with simple iron brackets, trellised piers, valancing, and rails. The ground floor of the return has two sashes. Access to the rear elevation is provided by 20th-century wooden porches.
