Description
Quex House, located in Quex Park, Birchington-on-Sea, has its core built in 1808, with two wings added and the exterior recased in 1883. The building is L-shaped and consists of three storeys made of brown brick, featuring stone window dressings. It has a slate roof, a parapet, and two cemented pediments with cartouches above the centre of the original section and the south wing. There are four fluted pilasters and eight windows set in cemented reveals with architraves above. The house includes a porch and verandah supported by cast iron. Inside, the original Regency staircase remains, showcasing cast iron balusters with an Anthemion motif, along with some notable later 19th-century panelling.
