Description

No. 197 on Canterbury Road is a mid-19th century building that stands three storeys tall. It is constructed of brown brick, featuring stuccoed quoins and a base. The building has a dropped moulded eaves cornice and three sash windows with verticals only, which are set in moulded architraves. On the ground floor, there are two canted bay windows with two lights each. The entrance is highlighted by a portico supported by two plain Tuscan columns and two pilasters, topped with a rectangular fanlight. Additionally, there are two stone lions flanking the entrance.
