Description

The buildings at 8 and 9 Lombard Street date to 1735. They are two storeys and have attics, constructed of painted brick with a renewed tiled roof and two hipped dormers. The first floor features four brick pilasters with a round arch in the centre, a string course, and two sash windows. One sash window retains its original glazing bars. A shaped Dutch gable is present at the eastern end. Number 8 has a simple round-headed doorcase with a six-panelled door, while number 9 has a shopfront from the late 19th century. Numbers 6 to 9 form a cohesive group.
