Description
Foresters Hall is a building constructed in 1811. It is made of stock brick and has a rendered front elevation. The structure stands two storeys high on a plinth and features pilaster strip quoins. The centre of the building projects forward and rests on a rusticated base, adorned with a string band and a parapet that includes a raised section and cornice at the centre. On the first floor, there are two glazing-bar sash windows, framed by a central segmentally headed recess. The ground floor has two round-headed casement windows, along with a central pair of panelled double doors topped by a traceried semicircular fanlight. Above the door, it is inscribed "Foresters Hall," and above that inscription is "Erected MDCCCXI."
The interior has been altered but still retains cornices and other architectural details. The building was formerly used as offices for Age Concern.
