Description

Upton Lodge is an L-shaped house, likely built in the 18th century and refaced in the mid-19th century. It has two storeys and is rendered with a modern tiled roof that features three hipped dormers with bargeboards. The building has a modillion cornice and three casement windows with Gothic lights, two of which are three-light windows, all with hood moulding above. The gable ends display fretted bargeboards. On the ground floor, there is a 19th-century wooden trellis-work verandah and a simple doorcase with hood moulding. The house sits on a plinth. There is a later 19th-century rear extension made of painted brick, which is two storeys high and has a slate roof with three altered windows.
