Description
The Oast House is likely an 18th-century timber-framed barn, found on the south side of Vale Road in Upton. Part of the building has been used as a stable, and part has been lived in. It is a single-story structure with a tiled roof. The front gable is faced with flint and brick, while the right-hand gable is half-hipped. A mid-19th century cast with a slate pyramidal cap is present on the left-hand side. A tiled pentice extends from the barn. The rear elevation of the barn is flint-faced and contains three casement windows, one of which has Gothic glazing.
