Description
This is a terrace house, dating to around 1818, located on the east side of Waterloo Road in Ramsgate. It is constructed of stock brick and has three storeys and a basement, topped with a parapet and a stack to the right. The second floor has a sash window with glazing bars. The first floor has a sash window of 16 panes. A canted bay window extends from the left side of the ground floor, featuring wooden casements within moulded architraves. A tripartite wooden casement window is present in the basement. A door of six raised and fielded panels is located on the right, featuring a semi-circular fanlight within a fluted, keyed surround. A flight of four steps with simple rails leads to the entrance, and the area is enclosed by hooped rails. The house appears on Collard and Hurst’s 1822 plan of Ramsgate.
