Description

The tomb chest to William Blackman, who died in 1801, is located about 20 metres north-west of the Church of St. George in Ramsgate. This stone structure is designed in a simple neo-classical style. It features pylon-shaped corner piers set on a double stepped base, topped with a raised slab that has a coved cornice decorated with stylised bay leaves.
