Description

Shuart Farm Cottage is a house dating from the mid-17th century. It is constructed of red brick in English Bond and features a plain tiled roof. The building has two storeys set on a rendered plinth, with a plat band and a pedimented Dutch gable on the cornice at the right return. There are stacks located to the centre left and at the end right. To the right, there is an 18th-century projecting one-storey hipped wing, which is now used as a garage, and a 19th-century outshot that projects at the end left. The first floor has three 20th-century wooden casements, along with a blocked window opening to the right. The ground floor features two glazing bar sash windows and a central half-glazed door, which is set within a 20th-century glazed porch.
