Description
Manor House is a house dating from the late 17th century or early 18th century. It is constructed of red brick with red pantiles, and features a flint plinth on part of the ground floor of the east front, suggesting an earlier history for the building. The ground floor has two tripartite windows and two 2-light casement windows. There is a plat-band on the first floor, which has two 2-light casement windows and one single light casement. The entrance features a six-panelled door, with four of the panels being glazed. The north side has a curved Dutch gable, along with two end stacks and one off-centre stack. The rear of the house presents a more regularly organized facade with nine bays, featuring a moulded plat-band and aprons under the first-floor windows, and rubbed brick flat arches. Except for two ground floor casements, all the windows are 20th-century insertions that have affected the original design of this front. The north side includes a one-storey with attic wing, also ending in a Dutch gable.
