Description
This is an early 19th-century building, originally comprising two properties, located at 16 and 18 Albion Street in Broadstairs. The rear elevation is pebble-dashed, while the front features a stone coping. The upper floors have three triple sash windows each. The first floor has an altered balcony, and the ground floor incorporates a projecting extension with four triple sash windows.
The Albion Street elevation is constructed of stock brick and features a doorcase on the left side, including a rectangular fanlight above a six-panelled door. Two of the door's central panels have been cut away and glazed, and there is a later 19th-century shop front. A shop front appears on the left side. The building formally housed the Marine Lending Library, which ceased operation in 1864.
Numbers 14 to 26 (even) and numbers 30 and 32 Albion Street form a group.
