Description
Nos 9 to 11 on Preston Street are timber-framed houses that were refronted in the 18th century. They are two storeys tall and have four windows. No 9 is now fronted with roughcast, while Nos 10 and 11 are finished in stucco. The buildings feature an eaves cornice and tiled roofs. No 9 has casement windows on the first floor, which have a cove beneath them and small square leaded panes. Nos 10 and 11 also have casement windows. There is a 19th-century shop front for Nos 10 and 11, with a house door at the northern end, flanked by fluted pilasters, and topped with a cornice and fascia; butcher's hooks are present as well. These houses are part of a group that includes Nos 7 to 19A.
