Description

No 13 on Preston Street is a 15th-century timber-framed building that was refronted in the 18th century. It retains the overhang of its first floor supported by a bressummer. The building has two storeys and features two windows. The ground floor is finished in painted brick, while the first floor is stuccoed. It has a cornice and parapet, and the roofs are tiled. The windows are modern. Inside, there is panelling. This building is historically associated with the murder of Arden of Faversham and was originally known as the Flower-de-Luce Inn. It is part of a group that includes Nos 7 to 19A.
