Description

Painter's Farmhouse is a house dating from the 15th and 16th centuries. It features a timber-framed structure with some exposed sections, plaster infill, and areas rendered and clad with painted brick. The roof is plain tiled. The building originally served as a 15th-century hall house, with a 16th-century wing added. It has two storeys and a roof that is hipped to the left and half-hipped to the right, with stacks located at the rear right, rear centre, and an end left. There are two wooden casements on each floor, along with a central half-door. The left return is close-studded and exposed, featuring a gabled wing added to the rear. Inside, the 15th-century wing has a crown post roof.
