Description

This pair of headstones, located about 20 metres south-west of the Church of St. Mary, commemorates Henry Ottenden, who died in 1745, and John Ottenden, who died in 1747. Both headstones are identical in design, featuring three moulded shaped heads, two skulls, and a Bible set within a heart-shaped enriched surround. The headstone for John Ottenden, who was Henry's son, displays much cruder workmanship compared to his father's.
