Description
This building comprises two houses located on the north side of Boughtown Street. The core of the structure dates to the 17th century, with significant alterations undertaken in the mid-19th century. The house is timber-framed and has a rendered facade, with the right return clad in yellow stock brick. It has a plain tiled roof. The building is two storeys high, set upon a plinth, with box eaves to a half-hipped roof that extends to the left and steps down to the right. Chimneys are located at the rear left and right. On the first floor are three glazing bar sash windows. A large canted bay window is present on the ground floor to the left, and a 20th-century glazed door and window are on the right, with a moulded panel beneath the window. The central door is constructed of 10 raised and fielded panels, topped by a cornice hood and pilaster surround. The building is listed for its group value.
