Description

This monument, located 3 metres south of the Church of St. Peter in Oare, dates from the mid-19th century. It is a stone obelisk set on a moulded tapering stand with a pedimented base. The obelisk is approximately 8 feet high and features a damaged hand that points heavenward. The inscription on the monument is illegible. Surrounding the monument is a small enclosure with hooped railings and banded knops on the principal posts.
