Description
This is a barn dating from the 18th century, located approximately 40 metres south of Parklane Farmhouse, and it is accompanied by enclosing farmyard walls. The barn is timber framed on a brick base, weather boarded, and has a corrugated asbestos roof. It features a half-hipped roof with cart doors at the rear. The walls, which date from the 17th and 18th centuries, are constructed of flint and red brick, with some lower sections built in English bond. The walls vary in height from 3 feet to 7 feet, enclosing an area that measures approximately 20 yards east-west by 30 yards north-south, adjacent to the barn. This structure is included for its group value with Parklane Farmhouse.
