Description

Grove Cottage is a house dating from the late 17th or early 18th century, with a 19th-century addition. The original part is built of red brick, with some blue brick detailing, and a lower red brick addition projecting to the right. It has plain tiled roofs, a rear slope stack, and an end stack on the wing. The original section is two storeys high, with a platband. The 19th-century addition has two storeys and garrets. The fenestration is irregular, with one window on each floor of each face within the angle of an "L" shape. There is a blocked window on the first floor of the left return front of the main block. Large 19th-century casement windows are present. A boarded door is situated in the angle of the "L" on the 19th-century wing.
