Description

Yew Tree Cottage is a house dating from the 16th and 17th centuries. It features a timber frame with exposed beams and plaster infill, and is underbuilt with red brick. The roof is thatched, with a plain tiled roof on the cross-wing. The building has a three-bay lobby entry plan, a projecting gabled wing, and a brick catslide outshot service area at the rear. It stands two storeys high with a hipped roof, and has stacks on the left side, with a projecting and offset stack at the end left. The left wing projects slightly and has an oversailing gable. The windows are irregularly arranged wood casements. Access to the house is now through a half-glazed door at the rear.
