Description
Posiers is a 15th-century Wealden hall house that was clad in the 19th century. It features a timber frame with rendered walls and a plain tiled roof. The building consists of four framed bays and has two storeys. The right end bay is jettied, while the left end bay has been underbuilt. There is a flying wall plate that is braced over the central recessed hall bays, and the eaves are coved. The roof is hipped with gablets, and there are projecting stacks at both the left and right ends, as well as a stack at the centre left. The windows are arranged irregularly, including three tripartite sash windows and one glazing bar sash window on the centre left, along with three tripartite sashes on the ground floor. The entrance features a plank and stud door with sidelights, set within a red brick penticed porch. Inside, the house has a panelled interior and a stone fireplace.
