Description

This is a 17th-century barn located 60 yards northeast of Grove End on Bredgar Road in Tunstall. The barn is constructed from red brick in English bond and features an asbestos-sheet roof. It has sloping mid-strays and is buttressed on the south side. Inside, there are five bays and an aisle to the north, with a timber arcade that includes passing shores and arched-braced tie beams. The south ends of the beams rest on corbels in the south wall. The roof has been renewed with clasped purlins.
