Description
The gatehouse and gateway leading to Penshurst Place and Well Place is a mid to late 19th century lodge that stands two storeys high and features one window. It has a high-pitched tiled roof with a chimney that has diagonal brick shafts. The walls are made of red brick with stone dressings. To the left, there is a screen wall topped with a gable above a Tudor arched gateway, with a small entrance in between. The structure is adorned with cast iron gates and is likely designed by George Devey.
