Description

This is a 17th-century tall wall made of red brick, running south-south-east from the gatehouse to the river. It features a tall, sloped coping and 19th-century sloped stone buttresses. At either end, there are a pair of tall, square piers with rebated angles and tall pyramidal caps. The space between the piers is filled with a later wall and cast iron railing.
