Description

Appletree Cottage School is likely an early 16th century small hall that has been significantly altered. The building has two storeys and features three windows. It has a tiled roof with a long hip on the left side. The first floor displays mock half-timbering with roughcast filling, while the ground floor is constructed of random rubble with red brick dressings. On the right side, there is visible timber framing, mostly from a later period, with brick filling. The rear wall retains original timber. The windows include modern and 19th-century casements, and there are modern extensions on the right and rear.
