Description

No. 8, Amherst Hill, likely dates to the 17th century or earlier. It is a two-storey building with a tiled gable on its right side. The ground floor features a mix of painted brick and stone, while the first floor has painted plaster with tile hanging extending to the right, beneath the gable. A modern, tiled hood projects over the centrally located panelled doorway. There are two casement windows on the ground floor, and one casement window on the first floor to the right. A brick chimney stack is shared with the adjacent No. 6.
