Description

Tender Meads is a timber-framed cottage that dates back to the early 16th century. It stands two storeys high and features three windows, with exposed framing and plaster filling. The roof is tiled, with a ridge stack and one end that is half hipped. The cottage has modern square-parted casements. The framing suggests that it may have originally included a hall of three bays, with the left bay being very narrow, possibly serving as a smoke bay. There is also a left extension that may date from the 17th century.
