Description

Oast Cottage, located to the west of Ockhams Old House, is a small timber-framed building dating from the 17th century. It has two storeys and features one window. The exterior displays exposed framing with plaster filling. There is a modern chimney breast on the left side. Attached to the cottage is a projecting wing from the 18th century, constructed of roughly coursed rubble with red brick dressings. An oast, which is a structure used for drying hops, rises through the roof of this wing. Additionally, there is a modern rear extension.
