Description
128 High Street is a building dating from 1614, located on the east side of the street. It features a two-window facade across three storeys, constructed of blue brick with red brick dressings around the windows, and patched with modern stock brick on the left side. There is a brick band above the first floor windows, and the building has moulded modillioned eaves and a gutter. The roof is tiled and hipped to the right. The ground floor has a modern shop front. On the first floor, there are two 18th-century sash windows in moulded exposed frames with thick glazing bars, topped with rendered flat arches that have central stucco voussoirs. The second floor has two square 18th-century sash windows, also in moulded exposed frames with thick glazing bars, featuring flat arches made of rubbed red headers above, again with central stucco voussoirs. The buildings numbered 128 to 134 (even) form a group.
