Description

The Yews is a house dating from around 1820, which conceals an older timber-framed structure. It has two storeys and three windows, with a sunk basement. The front is made of coursed freestone and features a modillioned cornice and a parapet. On either side, there are full-height elliptical bows that hold tripartite sash windows with glazing bars. Above the prostyle Doric porch, which has a modillioned cornice and a blocking course, is a single sash window. The porch is accessed by three steps and has a panelled door with a patterned fanlight. The other elevations of the house are constructed of brick.
