Description
The stable buildings located to the north-east of the former drying shed on the Portlands estate are a single-storey range constructed in the mid-19th century. The buildings are made of flint mixed with brick and connect the oast house and drying shed with Portlands Cottage, extending eastwards to enclose the courtyard to the east of the drying shed. They feature moderately low pitched slated roofs and have a distinctive pattern of hexagons in darker coloured flints on the north wall. The stable buildings, along with the oast house, drying shed, and Portlands Cottage, form a cohesive group.
