Description

This is an 18th-century building on London Road. It is a tall, narrow structure with a painted brick facade of two storeys, featuring a single sash window on the first floor. The roof has flat boarded eaves and a gutter, topped by a half-hipped mansard gable. The ground floor was formerly a butcher’s shop, with panelled boarded shutters and a projecting flat canopy supported by four timber posts. A sunblind case is positioned above. A new, long window has been added to the north flank wall, adjacent to The Shambles.
