Description

Spring Cottage is a late medieval hall house that has been divided into three sections. It stands two storeys high and features three windows. The building has a long hipped tiled roof with ridge gablets, which has been altered on the left side. The left part of the cottage is tile hung above and brick below, with a later brick end and buttress added in 1878. The foundation is made of coursed rubble. The two right bays display timber framing with plaster filling, which is also visible on the rear view. The cottage has assorted casement windows and a studded door, likely from 1878. The name "The Hall Cottages" will be amended to "Spring Cottage." Additionally, it is noted that Nos 1 to 6 (consecutive) Walter's Green Cottages and Goose Cottage form a group.
