Description

The Picture House is a 17th-century timber-framed building located in Poundsbridge Hill, Penshurst. It has an H-shaped plan and features three gable ends, standing two storeys tall with an attic. The left section has a painted brick ground floor, with visible timber framing and plaster filling above. The centre part is recessed and also displays visible framing with plaster filling, featuring a monogram below the upper window. The right bay is similar to the centre but includes a stone plinth. The first floor has an oriel window with a tiled hood and plastered soffit. The gables are adorned with decorative bargeboards. The building has modern leaded casements and a full-width modern glazed entrance porch in the centre bay, along with a modern oak door.
