Description
Court Lodge is a building that dates from the 16th, 18th, and 19th centuries. The central section was constructed in the 16th century by the Walters family and features a timber frame that was refaced in brick in the mid-18th century. A stringcourse conceals the overhang, and the end sections were added by Richard Allen. The building is two storeys high and made of red brick, topped with a tiled roof. It has five windows in total, with the central section featuring three casement windows. The end portions are of a higher elevation and have hipped roofs, each containing a sash window with intact glazing bars. There is a small porch with a pediment above it, and a 19th-century bay with three windows located on the ground floor to the south.
