Description
White House Farmhouse was built around 1722 and refaced in the early 19th century. Originally named Hook House, it was later known as Russell's Farm and then Hook Farm. The building has two storeys and features five windows, with the two northernmost window bays possibly added later. It is faced with roughcast and has a hipped slate roof with wide eaves cornice. The windows are sashes with intact glazing bars. The three southernmost window bays are flanked by pilasters and have a wide central porch accessed by three steps. This porch contains a doorway with a moulded architrave surround and double doors made of six fielded panels. There are later bays on the ground floor on each side of the porch, and a late 19th-century verandah is present on the ground floor of the two northernmost window bays.
