Description
This is a table tomb dedicated to John Homewood, located approximately 12 yards northwest of the west tower of the Church of St. Nicholas. It dates from the early 19th century and is made of stone, resting on a double-stepped stone base with a lightly moulded plinth and a corniced lid. The tomb features gadrooned and fluted side pilasters, as well as fielded panels with concave corners. It was formerly enclosed by a railing. John Homewood, who is commemorated here, was from Maidstone and passed away in 1808.
