Description
Trumpeter is a house dating from the 17th century. It has a timber frame with a ground floor made of chequered red and grey brick, while the first floor features plain and fishscale tiles. The roof is covered with plain tiles and has a lobby entry plan. The building stands two storeys high with a garret. The left gable slightly jetties out, supported by solid brackets under the front and rear wall-plate ends. The roof is hipped to the right, and there is a central multiple brick ridge stack. The windows are arranged irregularly, consisting of three in total: two 3-light casements and one central 2-light casement. There is also a central door. Later additions have been made to the rear of the house. It was formerly known as Cranmore Cottages.
