Description

The Zoo is a mid-19th century building that stands two storeys high with a basement, finished in stucco. It features a rounded corner on the left side and is topped with a slate roof. A stringcourse runs along the building. The first floor has nine sash windows, one of which is blank, with some glazing bars still intact. The ground floor showcases a mid-19th century bar front, which includes four round-headed arches with keystones, one cambered arch, and two round-headed doorcases. The building forms a group with Nos 8 and 9 High Street.
