Description
21 and 23 London Road are semi-detached houses built around 1850. They stand three storeys tall with attics and are constructed of stock brick. The buildings feature a pedimented gable and a moulded eaves cornice. There are four sash windows without glazing bars, each with stone cills, and two string courses running along the facade. Each house has a recessed one-storey extension on either side, which includes a moulded cornice and a round-headed sash window with intact glazing bars. The doorcases in the extensions are set within moulded architraves and have six-panelled doors. At the time of the survey, the houses were undergoing extensive remodelling while keeping the facade intact. Nos 13 to 23 (odd) form a group.
