The monument to James Bishop is located about 10 metres west of the tower of the Church of St. Mary in Hunton. This headstone dates from the mid-17th century and is made of stone. It stands approximately 2 feet 6 inches tall and features a deep design with an unchamfered back, a shaped head, and a raised border. The inscription commemorates James Bishop, who died in 165(2?).
